They opened a second location in Madison, Wisconsin, the following March. Kennedy was joined by partner and real estate developer Tom Weigand, whom he had met at Augustana College. The first Noodles & Company was opened in October 1995, in the Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver, Colorado.
